Idea 4G coverage reaches 100 towns in Kerala

Idea Cellular 4G launched
Telecom network operator Idea Cellular on Monday said its 4G coverage reached more than 100 towns in Kerala.

Idea Cellular is the only 4G service provider in 45 towns out of these 100.

Idea Cellular’s 4G service covers 53 percent of the total population across all 14 districts in Kerala.

Bharti Airtel, in April 2016, said its 4G coverage reached 150 towns in Kerala.

Idea Cellular has 2,500 4G sites in the region.

Vinu Verghese is the chief operating officer – Kerala at Idea Cellular.

Idea Cellular is offering all existing customers a free-of-cost upgrade to a 4G SIM, available across all 700+ Idea showrooms in Kerala. Once upgraded, customers can avail 1 GB of free 4G data by sending SMS GO4G to 12345. Idea has launched a toll-free number 12149 that gives location of the nearest Idea showroom via SMS.
