EastLink selects Ericsson to build mobile broadband network

Ericsson announced that it has signed a four-year
agreement as the sole vendor for EastLink’s core and radio access networks,
using HSPA+ and next generation technologies.

 

Ericsson will deploy its multi-standard radio base
station; RBS 6000, circuit switched and packet networks including Evolved
Packet Core and Operation Support Systems (OSS), as well as, providing
professional services.

Wireless.

 

The RBS 6000 is a multi-standard radio base station which
supports GSM/EDGE, WCDMA/HSPA and LTE, providing a cost-effective deployment
for next-generation high-speed mobile broadband, video, and web application
services while providing subscribers with a superior user experience.

Canada are served by Ericsson.
