Airtel ups stake in Qualcomm’s four 4G entities to 51% from 49%

Airtel on Thursday said it increased its stake in Qualcomm AP’s four 4G entities to 51 percent from the earlier 49 percent.

The telecom giant did not disclose the financial details.

Qualcomm, in 2010, acquired broadband wireless access (BWA) spectrum in these circles and sold to Airtel in 2012.

All four entities — which hold BWA licenses in Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana and Kerala — are now subsidiaries of Bharti Airtel.
