Virgin Media launches business broadband with 500Mbps speed

Virgin Media Business has launched Voom 500 business broadband offering download speeds of up to 500Mbps and upload speeds of up to 35Mbps.

UK-based SMEs say average employee loses 15 minutes a day due to slow internet speeds, according to a survey of more than 1,000 senior SMEs decision makers conducted by — Virgin Media Business.

Eligible broadband customers will receive a free upgrade to Voom 500 if they combine their broadband with a Cloud Voice package or one of the latest mobile data packages, Virgin Media Business said.

Cloud Voice helps customers for routing calls over their broadband connection and giving businesses greater control.

“With a free upgrade to Voom 500 on offer for existing Voom customers when they take selected mobile or Cloud Voice services, our customers can stop worrying about their broadband,” Rob Orr, executive director of Commercial Marketing, Virgin Media Business, said.

The price of Voom 500 broadband connection for business in the UK is £62 per month. In addition, Virgin Media said broadband customers have the option to add a business landline package with unlimited UK calls for an additional £8 per month. The package comes with 5 static IPs and a 12-hour fault fix time service level agreement.
