SunTec revenue management drives Iridium for real-time service provisioning

SunTec today said that mobile voice and data satellite communications network Iridium has deployed Xelerate, a revenue management and business assurance product suite, to provide real-time automated service provisioning to their customers.

Xelerate enables Iridium to provide real-time automated provisioning of services offered via personal communication devices, machine-to-machine technology and broadband services.

In addition, the technology deployment enables Iridium to improve operational efficiency via automated work flow and an intuitive user interface to configure business rules.

“With our Iridium NEXT satellites scheduled to begin launching in 2015, Iridium is readying our BOSS systems to support more complex new products and services,” said Jose Varela, vice president, Billing, OSS and IT, Iridium.
