Server market leaders in Q4 2018

Server market revenue grew 12.6 percent to $23.6 billion, while server shipments rose 5 percent to just under 3 million units during the fourth quarter of 2018, the latest IDC report said.
Volume server revenue increased 17.8 percent to $19 billion, while midrange server revenue grew 30.3 percent to $2.5 billion. High-end systems declined 28.3 percent to $2.1 billion, said IDC.

Server market revenue leaders include Dell with 18.7 percent, HPE with 17.8 percent, IBM with 8.3 percent, Inspur with 6.6 percent and Lenovo with 6.2 percent during the fourth quarter of 2018.

Server market leaders in terms of volume shipments are Dell with 19.4 percent share, HPE with 15.8 percent, Inspur with 8.3 percent, Huawei with 7.1 percent and Lenovo with 6.4 percent during the fourth quarter.
