“We are excited about this collaboration and look forward to leveraging Mitel’s cloud based UC platform and TaraSpan’s operational excellence in India to aim to bring a future ready product for fast growing enterprises and the cost sensitive Indian SMB market,” said HS Bedi, chairman and managing director, Tulip Telecom.

Tulip’s carrier-grade UCaaS service, Mitel’s cloud-based unified communications platform and TaraSpan’s operational support will be delivering business agility.

“TaraSpan is proud to bring this solution to the India market, as it will enable Indian corporates to communicate more efficiently and cost effectively across their multiple locations,” said Mike Manson, CEO of TaraSpan.

This solution enables Indian enterprises to empower office-based and mobile workers with the ability to communicate, collaborate and enhance customer responsiveness.

Moreover, the open, standards-based solution allows subscribers to use the device of their choice including IP phones, Smartphones (iPhone, Android, Blackberry), tablets or soft phones and even allows the migration of a live call from their desk phones to mobile phones and vice versa.

“This announcement further reinforces Mitel’s aim to deliver reliable and effective cloud-based UC solutions in this market. Working with TaraSpan and Tulip will mean customers looking to embrace the next generation of communication technology can do so with confidence,” said Gwilym Funnell, vice president, Mitel, Asia Pacific Region.
