
The company has selected Alcatel-Lucent, as the telecom network vendor, for deploying its 7950 Extensible Routing System (XRS) IP Core Router portfolio alongside its previously provided 100G agile optical networking technology. Alcatel-Lucent’s 5620 Service Aware Manager (SAM) will enable integrated management of IP and optical transport network. The network will be implemented by end of 2016.

Alcatel-Lucent’s 7950 XRS portfolio delivers class-leading scale, efficiency and versatility to address a wide range of networking requirements. More than 50 customers have chosen to deploy the 7950 XRS to-date.
“With the IP Core Router we get a router that has the leading IP technology we require, enabling us to introduce more abstraction, programmability and simplified management in the network.
