Darren Entwistle, TELUS President and CEO

TELUS said Joe Natale, president and chief executive officer, is stepping down since he does not want to move to Western Canada.

Earlier, TELUS decided to have its chief executive officer reside in the West.

Darren Entwistle will be the company’s president and CEO in Vancouver and Dick Auchinleck will serve as the company’s independent Chair.

TELUS, with $12.3 billion of annual revenue, has 13.9 million customer connections, including 8.4 million wireless subscribers, 3.1 million wireline network access lines, 1.5 million high-speed Internet subscribers and 954,000 TELUS TV customers.

Joe Natale joined TELUS in 2003 and worked as chief commercial officer and chief executive officer.
