T-Mobile, Starlink Test Satellite Connectivity

T-Mobile and Starlink will launch satellite service in July for $15 a month. It will cover areas without cell towers. The service will be free during the beta trial. After launch, it will be part of the Go5G Next plan. Other customers will get a 33 percent discount. It will work for all wireless users, including AT&T and Verizon customers. Text service will be available first, with voice and data later. T-Mobile worked with Apple and Google to support most smartphones from the last four years.

Telenor Norway launched a call protection service called Nummervarsel to protect users from spam and fraud calls. Powered by Hiya’s AI, the service flags suspicious calls in real time. It works for both business and consumer customers and requires no extra apps. In 2024, Telenor blocked over 50 million fraudulent calls. This service uses AI to improve call security.

Ceva-Waves Wi-Fi 6 IP Powers WUQI Microelectronics Combo Chip

Ceva has partnered with WUQI Microelectronics to use its Wi-Fi 6 High-Performance STA IP in the WQ9201 Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo chip, designed for smartphones, tablets, PCs, TVs, and set-top boxes.
