Orange Business, Verizon Enterprise join forces for video collaboration offerings

Telecom Lead Europe: Orange Business Services and
Verizon Enterprise Solutions have signed an interprovider connectivity
agreement to meet enterprises’ increasing demand for video collaboration
offerings.

The collaboration will enable Verizon Immersive Video Exchange customers and Orange Telepresence
Community customers to work together via video meetings with a greater pool of
participating customers, partners and suppliers worldwide, using Cisco
TelePresence endpoints.

“Our agreement with Orange takes another step toward
making video communications as available and simple to use as voice, while
increasing a company’s return on its telepresence investment,” said Mike
Palmer, vice president of product strategy for Verizon Enterprise Solutions.

Through this interprovider solution, enterprises already
using Cisco TelePresence provided by either Orange or Verizon can hold
real-time video meetings with one another in a highly secure, consistent and
transparent manner.

“This agreement expands the telepresence ecosystem
for customers of both providers, generating an even more compelling return on
investment for telepresence customers. Our objective is to make telepresence as
border-free as a phone call. We will continue to work with companies like
Verizon to provide our customers access to as many options as possible and
enabling them to take full advantage of the business benefits of real-time,
virtual meetings through telepresence,” said Andrew McFadzen, head of
International Network Solutions at Orange Business Services.

With Telepresence, eneterprises can reap benefits such as
has easy remote collaboration, quicker decision-making and issue resolution,
more efficient use of limited resources and stronger relationships.

With this collaboration and expansion of telepresence
community, these advantages can be extended beyond internal collaboration and
decision-making to facilitate all aspects of external business communications
throughout all of the company’s stakeholder relations.
