JT migrates wholesale voice termination service to DIGITALK Cloud

Telecom Lead Europe: JT, a telecommunications provider
based in the Channel Islands, has selected DIGITALK to migrate its
international wholesale voice termination service to DIGITALK Cloud.

DIGITALK Cloud is a hosted carrier routing platform based
on DIGITALK’s a Session Border Controller VoIP Peering application.

“We see cloud services as a key trend in the
telecoms industry, and the adoption of DIGITALK Cloud by JT illustrates that
this approach works well for network operators offering wholesale termination
services. We’re looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with JT, and
to supporting their service success,” said Justin Norris, chief executive,
DIGITALK.

JT offers international voice termination services with
points of presence in the UK, USA and Australia, with options for prepaid
charging as well as postpaid billing.

In order to further expand its offering, the service
provider said that it was looking to consolidate its routing capability and to
support an extended range of carrier interconnect options.

“We were looking to work with a partner who would
support us to get to market quickly and to build the most effective and
operationally efficient service. We explored a number of potential options,
looking for the best means to smooth the path to market and to focus on the
service offer, rather than the engineering project. DIGITALK Cloud has enabled
us to do just that, allowing us to gain early market visibility and to grow
capacity,” said John Diamond, JT’s Wholesale Managing Director.

DIGITALK Cloud enables wholesale termination service
providers to start up rapidly and to grow flexibly, with headroom to support
spikes in traffic volumes.

The Cloud uses the sophisticated VoIP Peering Manager,
which allows providers to establish interconnects, upload and offer termination
rates, create routing plans, and monitor volumes and performance, all without
having to install any network or management systems hardware or software.
