Globe Telecom Q3 2025 Results: Revenue Hits ₱121.7 bn, Mobile Data and Fiber Lead Growth

Globe Telecom has reported ₱121.7 billion in service revenues for the first nine months of 2025 against ₱124.0 billion in the same period last year.

Globe posted ₱41.5 billion in service revenues in the third quarter, a 3 percent sequential increase, achieving the fastest sequential growth in 13 quarters, driven by digital business growth.

Mobile and corporate data services accounted for 83 percent of service revenues in the nine months of 2025, similar to last year. Data-centric products spanning mobile data, home broadband, and enterprise solutions, rose to 88 percent of service revenues from 86 percent.

Globe’s mobile business generated ₱86.2 billion in service revenues, down 2 percent from ₱87.7 billion a year earlier. Mobile service revenues in the third quarter reached ₱29.1 billion, up 1 percent quarter-on-quarter from ₱28.8 billion in Q2, marking a second consecutive quarter of sequential improvement.

Globe’s mobile subscriber base stood at 63.1 million, 5 percent higher than 60.2 million a year ago. Mobile data revenues were ₱25.2 billion in the third quarter of 2025. Total mobile data revenues reached record ₱74.0 billion (up 2 percent) for the first nine months of the year.

Total mobile data traffic touched 4,846 petabytes versus 4,843 petabytes, reinforcing Globe’s ability to drive higher value per gigabyte of data consumed. Usage rose by 8 percent from 1,537 petabytes in the first quarter to 1,659 petabytes by the third quarter. The volume of use per subscriber remained stable at around 15 GB per month, supported by rising 5G traffic.

Globe has 37.8 million mobile data users, up 2 percent. Mobile data accounts for 86 percent of total mobile service revenues, up from 83 percent a year earlier.

Globe’s home broadband revenue was ₱17.8 billion (flat) in revenues for the nine-month period. Home broadband revenues rose 4 percent quarter-on-quarter to ₱6.1 billion in the third quarter, signaling stabilization as fiber adoption deepened across the base.

The number of GFiber Prepaid (GFP) subscribers has reached hit 700K by end-September, up 28 percent quarter-on-quarter and over 3.7x from a year ago. ARPU of GFiber Prepaid users surged more than 4.2x in 3Q25 versus the 2024 average. Fiber makes up 91 percent of home broadband revenues, compared to 86 percent a year earlier. Total fiber revenues rose 5 percent, while the fiber subscriber base rose by 44 percent. The number of Globe’s broadband subscribers reached 2.1 million as of September 2025, from 1.7 million in the prior year.

Corporate data business revenue was ₱15.0 billion for the nine-month period, a 3 percent decline driven by a 13 percent drop in core data services. Sequentially, corporate data revenues rose 13 percent quarter-on-quarter to ₱5.4 billion in the third quarter, signaling an emerging rebound in enterprise digitalization efforts.

Globe’s capital expenditures as of end-September 2025 reached ₱31.4 billion, a 23 percent decrease from ₱41.0 billion, reflecting the company’s focus on strategic capital management. Globe is planning annual capex of below US$1 billion, representing 26 percent of revenue. Globe said about 89 percent of capex was directed toward data-related projects.

Globe built 1,375 new cell sites, while upgrading 8,699 existing mobile sites, enhancing service quality for mobile users. Globe rolled out 60,193 fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) lines during the nine-month period. Globe rolled out 877 new 5G sites. By end-September 2025, outdoor coverage reached 98.71 percent of Metro Manila and 98.31 percent of key cities in Visayas and Mindanao.
