Cellcom Israel chief technology officer (CTO) Eliezer (Lipa) Ogman has stepped down.
He resigned from the telecom operator after serving the company for more than 13 years.
The company will announce a new CTO in the coming weeks.
As the CTO, he has assisted the company during its transfer from TDMA to GSM technology.
In addition, Cellcom Israel deployed EDGE and third generation UMTS and HSPA+ technologies under the guidance of the CTO.
Construction of its independent fiber-optic and complementary microwave transmission network was another achievement.
Cellcom Israel lowered its Capex (capital expenditure) to $25 million in the third quarter of 2012 from $34 million in the third quarter of 2011. The decrease in telecom Capex is primarily resulted from a difference in timing of investments between the quarters.
Cellcom Israel provides its approximately 3.166 million subscribers (as at March 31, 2013) with a range of value added services including cellular and landline telephony.
