BSNL doubles broadband speed for its 5 plans

The state-run BSNL has decided to upgrade the bandwidth of its five plans,
which will be effective from February 1, 2012.

 

BSNL is increasing the
internet speed to 512 kbps from 256 kbps for its combo plan of Rs 299 monthly.
In its Rs 499 plan, the speed would be 512 kbps and 4 GB usages.

For plan of Rs 850 per
month, the speed would be two mbps, and 8 GB usages. The services would be
upgraded automatically without any request by the customers.

The other Plan, BB
Home Combo UL 625 would now offer 512Kbps up to 4 GB instead of 256 Kbps
earlier. In totality, in five plans Speeds have been revised along with name of
2 Plans (BB Home UL 499 is now BB Home ULD 499 & BB Home Combo UL 625 is
now BB Home Combo ULD 625).

Without changing the
existing plans of broadband the internet speed would be doubled to enable
customer better services.

A few months back, BSNL announced its partnership with Bharat Berry Technologies to provide push
e-mail services to all its mobile subscribers of all circles in India.

BSNL in alliance with
Bharat Berry is targeting this service for all range of handsets carrying
BlackBerry, Symbian, Android, Windows Mobile and J2ME which will cover all major
mobile handsets.
