AT&T in Florida
The wireless operator made 3,570 wireless network upgrades in Florida in 2016 – for upgrading 18 new cell sites, installing new distributed antenna systems and adding network capacity to existing cell towers.

AT&T Florida network enhancements
# upgraded Tampa area network in preparation for the College Football Playoff National Championship, including 8 distributed antenna systems throughout the Tampa Bay area.
# activated new outdoor distributed antenna system at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami
# deployed mobile cell sites, or Cells on Wheels (COWs) to bolster service at several crowd-drawing events
AT&T in New York
AT&T did not reveal specific investment areas in New York.
“Our investment in New York also helps create new, innovative opportunities for consumers and businesses,” said Marissa Shorenstein, New York president, AT&T.
AT&T in Baltimore area
The focus areas in Baltimore area wireless and wired networks were to enhance reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses. The operator has made 145 wireless network upgrades in the Baltimore area.
“We’re investing to provide faster, more reliable, highly secure connectivity. We want customers to have internet access at any moment, from almost any device anywhere,” said Denis Dunn, president, AT&T Maryland.
AT&T in Arkansas
AT&T made more than 975 wireless network upgrades in Arkansas last year by adding new cell sites, network capacity and new wireless high-speed Internet connections.
“These continued investments bring Arkansas residents and businesses a host of new opportunities,” said Ed Drilling, president of AT&T Arkansas.
AT&T Fiber powered internet service is reaching to nearly 20,000 customer locations in the Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas areas.
The company claims that it has the largest fiber network within its 21-state wireline footprint. AT&T markets 1 gigabit connection its fiber network to 4.6 million locations across 52 major metro areas. AT&T plans to reach at least 75 major metros overall. It expects to add 2 million locations in 2017, and 12.5 million locations by mid-2019.
