Cable&Wireless Worldwide, a global
communications provider, announced it has won a contract to provide ARTEL with
a data network that connects its 30 locations in ten countries across the
globe.
After the implementation, the MPLS-based
wide area network will connect satellite earth stations, ARTEL network points
and several U.S. Government locations in the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Asia
Pacific providing reliable network connectivity for U.S. Government agencies
around the world.

and develop a flexible and resilient integrated data network solution that will
enable ARTEL to better serve its U.S. Government clients,” said Andrew

The solution, which utilizes C&W
Worldwide’s global Multi-Service Platform, is compatible to ARTEL’s existing
networks and can be easily scaled to meet its growing network demands over the
next few years.

reducing costs for customers and provides the flexibility to implement new
services with minimal disruption, and also the ability to scale bandwidth
across the network to deliver what customers need as corporate demands grow.
Earlier this year, Cable&Wireless
Worldwide announced its roadmap to extend its portfolio of global Ethernet services for
multinational enterprises and carrier customers based in the Americas.
