Airtel, Huawei to offer free 3G to EasyCabs passengers in Delhi NCR

Airtel has tied up with Huawei to offer free 3G to passengers of EasyCabs in the Delhi NCR region.

As part of the agreement, Bharti Airtel’s 3G on Huawei’s E355 Wi-Fi data card will be available in 100 EasyCabs during June 28 to September 27, 2013 in Delhi NCR.

Rohit Gothi, hub CEO, Bharti Airtel, Delhi-NCR and Rajasthan, said that Airtel 3G enables consumers to download movies, watch videos, watch live TV, make video calls, access high speed internet and enjoy seamless live streaming.

Huawei E355 supports Wi-Fi creation in different scenarios – regular USB modem plugged into laptops, plugged into wall power mains and in car chargers.

Using a password, commuters can access the web on any internet-enabled device during their travel. Wi-Fi Hotspot in a taxi will be a perfect offering for people on the go and will be useful for family and corporate groups traveling together.

Huawei Device India President Victor Shan said: “We hope that they can utilize their valued time and make the most out of their journey by enjoying faster emailing, surfing, gaming, movies and video clips.”

Huawei has already partnered with Flipkart to make the product available in more than 200 cities and towns across India.

Customers can also buy Huawei E355 datacard from multiple online channels like Flipkart, Homeshop18, Snapdeal, Tradus and offline stores across India in IT stores and multi-brand mobile stores.

The Huawei dongle will also be available at select Airtel retail stores.
