ZyXEL demonstrates readiness for IPv6 standard

Telecom Lead India:  ZyXEL Communications, a
global networking company has announced that it is ready for new Internet
protocol version 6 (IPv6) standard.

The new standard is expected to become the mainstream Internet
protocol of the future. The latest protocol aka IPv6 will be launched on June
6, 2012.

 

The company said it is ready to adopt IPv6 in their
products and services. Also, the world’s major Internet service providers
(ISPs), networking equipment manufacturers and Web companies all have joined
forces to adopt IPv6 in their products and services.

 

The company said that the new IPv6 standard will
bring many advantages for users such as simple plug-and-play network access,
higher performance of digital media content streaming and applications over IP
in addition to higher security, more reliability and better control over
Internet applications.

 

As a major Internet product and solution provider, ZyXEL
invests considerable resource and effort on developing products and solutions
that enable customers to seamlessly migrate and/or adapt to the new trend
without hassle or disruption.

 

Earlier, ZyXEL launched the first IPv6 Ready Logo
Certification in 2004, which was followed by the Phase II IPv6 Ready” Golden
Logo for several VDSL2 integrated access devices and CPE products in 2010.

 

ZyXEL is now offering more IPv6-ready products and
solutions ranging from hardware equipment such as DSL-based CPE
(customer-premise-equipment), COE (central-office-equipment), carrier switches,
LTE IAD (Internet-access-device), Gateways and Fibre technology-based IAD to
the IPv6-certified firmware and software stacks for security and switching
solutions.

 

The company said that it is enabling IPv6 compatibility
on a few media servers and will continue the deployment on more products and
solutions.

 

ZyXEL integrates Commtouch security suite in unified security
gateway

 

Recently, ZyXEL Communications integrated Commtouch’s
cloud-based anti-spam and Web filtering solutions into its ZyWALL Unified
Security Gateway product line.
