ZTE today announced its 4G network deal with Algeria Telecom to build the LTE Phase II project.
During the phase II roll out of 4G services, Algeria Telecom will be covering 14 wilayas in the north east region.
Algeria is the second country which commercially launched 4G LTE services in Africa in April 2014.
ZTE did not share the financial details of the LTE infrastructure deal.
Algeria Telecom offers 4G on FDD LTE network to both families and businesses to enjoy the benefits of a fixed broadband service.
ZTE claims that it has achieved more than 170 LTE EPC commercial contracts. The Chinese telecom network company has around 25 percent of the market share in new markets.
