Telecom network vendor ZTE said its revenue rose 8 percent to 81.2 billion yuan and profit grew 94 percent to 2.64 billion yuan ($424.5 million) in 2014.
ZTE posted growth in its 4G TD-LTE and FDD-LTE systems business in China, as well as its 3G and 4G smartphone operations internationally.
The achievement last year was mainly due to its 4G network division and smartphone business.
Earlier in the day, ZTE said it bagged almost 51 percent of China Telecom’s centralized purchases for MSE routers during the past three years.
In the most recent China Telecom IP network tender, ZTE won the second-highest allocation for MSE routers, and was awarded the largest share of orders for service routers (SR).
ZTE’s routers are deployed in more than 150 China Telecom MANs in 26 provinces, in addition to the core service sites at the headquarter of China Telecom.
ZTE has supplied its routers to China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, as well as operators in Asia Pacific, Southeast Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
