Telecom Lead Europe: Telecom equipment major ZTE Corporation has successfully completed interoperability testing of LTE / EPC (Evolved Packet Core) for German operator, E-Plus within the LTE trial network of E-Plus.
The company has achieved the data transfer on the LTE1800 standard, which is one of the main internationally recognized frequency bands for LTE.
ZTE provided EPC core network infrastructure equipment for E-Plus and successfully completed multi-vendor integration testing with several Ericsson LTE basestations as part of the E-Plus LTE trial network.
The successful interoperability testing based on the E-Plus LTE trial network further confirms the strong interoperability, compatibility and stability of ZTE’s EPC equipment.
E-Plus, the wholly owned German subsidiary of the Netherlands KPN Group, holds the nationwide GSM / UMTS / HSPA network in Germany and purchased LTE frequencies in 2010. E-Plus is leveraging advanced wireless technology to enhance the quality of the network and provides users with a wireless broadband data services experience.
“ZTE provides an open and flexible LTE end-to-end solution that supports multi-mode multi-band network construction to meet network operators’ roll-out needs. In the past few years, ZTE has been working in the 3G field with E-Plus to offer continuous service and support for the network,” said Xu Ziyang, vice president, ZTE.
To date, ZTE has signed 38 commercial LTE contracts globally, helping Bharti Airtel, China Mobile, Hutchison, Softbank, Telenor, Telstra, Zain and other advanced global operators to successfully construct large scale LTE networks.
ZTE has also deployed LTE trial networks with more than 100 operators worldwide.
ZTE selects VITEC as German distributor for videoconference solutions
Recently ZTE Corporation inked a general distribution deal with Germany-based VITEC Distribution, for selling video conferencing systems in Germany.
The co-operation with VITEC will allow ZTE Deutschland expand enterprise channel business in Germany.
With this deal, ZTE along with VITEC, will be able to jointly market video conferencing terminals and servers to enterprise customers.
