Spirent Communications, a provider of test and assurance solutions for devices and networks, has revealed its tech contract with Cadence Design Systems.
The partnership aims to deliver a cutting-edge networking system-on-chip (SoC) verification solution that effectively bridges the gap between pre-silicon and post-silicon verification processes, Spirent said.
This collaboration introduces advanced virtual Ethernet traffic emulation and testing capabilities to the pre-silicon verification stage within the Cadence Palladium Z2 Enterprise Emulation and Protium X2 Enterprise Prototyping systems. Known for its scalability and flexibility, this innovative solution possesses the capacity to emulate port speeds ranging from 1G to 800G at the application level and can swiftly integrate additional features to support evolving use cases.
Jointly developed by Spirent and Cadence, this solution is specifically designed to address the escalating demands for data bandwidth required to verify designs for data centers and other high-performance applications.
By merging Spirent TestCenter’s cutting-edge data rates and port densities with Cadence’s industry-leading verification capabilities from Palladium and Protium systems, a unified solution with reusable, portable, and automated test cases is realized.
Aniket Khosla, VP of product management for Cloud and IP at Spirent, expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, stating, “Our collaboration with Cadence will help reduce development time, simplify testing of the complex Ethernet chipset design process, and ensure that new products perform as expected.”
