Huawei’s Veni Shone suggests single LTE network for telecoms

Huawei Veni ShoneVeni Shone, president of Huawei’s LTE Product Line, has introduced the concept of enabling service on a unified, simplified infrastructure network for MBB2020.

Huawei plans to incubate services on a smart network that delivers a Giga experience.

By the end of October 2017, LTE networks were serving 30 percent of the world’s population in more than 300 countries or regions. It is projected that two-thirds of the world’s population will enjoy LTE services by 2020.

LTE operators provide all services that were earlier powered by 2G or 3G networks. In addition, LTE infrastructure networks are inexpensive, provide coverage and high spectral efficiency, and support for a variety of services.

The LTE infrastructure network is promoting a transformative upgrade in traditional industries. With such a network, operators can explore multiple new industry ecosystems and business models while optimizing their existing services.

LTE is the perfect choice, both technologically and commercially, to support full service development over the next two decades.

A single LTE carrier can provide over 1 Gbps when commercial terminals are used.

The increased number of NEs makes network planning, design, and maintenance more complex.

Mobile operators have to hire more employees with enough skill sets. With the NE increase, LTE networks are transforming into an organic, multi-faced entity that is capable of service awareness.

Deploying a unified, simplified LTE-based infrastructure network carrying full service maximizes network value, allows more people to enjoy better and cost-effective information services, and helps operators and their partners achieve long-term business success.
