Guavus inks Big Data alliance with Teradata to target telecom operators

Telecom Lead America: Guavus, a provider of big data analytics solutions, has inked partnership with Teradata, an analytic data solutions company.

Telecom service providers (CSPs) can leverage the combination of Teradata’s data warehouse platform and Guavus’s streaming analytics capability to leverage mobile data for network engineering, marketing and customer care.

Guavus and Teradata will create a solution designed for mobile data that allows CSPs to readjust business strategies to gain better visibility into data services.

“The ability to support large quantities of data coming in at extreme speeds is essential to our business given the exponential growth in mobile data,” said Francois de Repentigny, vice president, Marketing, Guavus.

The combination of Guavus’s products and Teradata’s data warehouse platform enables CSPs to gain decisive insights into customer behavior and product preferences. Through visibility to all data interaction including streaming data from the network, devices, location, social networks and digital marketing and ecommerce interactions, CSPs can better create new services and monetize existing infrastructure.

“The combination of Guavus products and Teradata’s data warehouse platform enables CSPs to analyze mobile data traffic at very granular levels with long retention periods for an extremely large number of subscribers,” said Scott Sobers, director, Communications Industry Marketing & Strategy, Teradata.
