Cambium Networks unveils new PTP wireless backhaul solution at CommunicAsia

Telecom Lead Asia: Cambium Networks, a provider of
wireless broadband has introduced a new point-to-point (PTP) wireless backhaul
solution called the Cambium PTP 810 at CommunicAsia.

 

Supporting native E1/T1 and native Ethernet, the new
point-to-point (PTP) wireless backhaul solution has high capabilities and
optimal performance in a single configurable software system.

 

  With the PTP 810, Cambium is providing all the key
features capabilities users need to meet today’s IP requirements and tomorrow’s
communications needs – all within in a neatly packaged, easy-to-maintain
platform,” said Tony Cecchin, vice president of product and business operations
at Cambium Networks.

 

The company claims that the new solution is designed to
meet current and future needs of network communications by providing support
for native TDM and Ethernet in a single platform.

 

This hybrid solution enables carriers, utility, public
safety and enterprise operators to seamlessly and cost effectively migrate
existing TDM traffic to an IP-based Ethernet network.

 

 The PTP 810 supports both Split-Mount and
All-Indoor architectures, which enables network operators to choose the
solution that best accommodates their unique business needs.

 

 The PTP 810 provides native TDM and Ethernet,
software configurable channel bandwidth and modulation and operates in the 6 –
38 GHz RF bands and with user-configured channel bandwidths from 7 to 80 MHz.

 

Additionally, it lends support to ACM, Cross Polarization
Interference Cancellation (XPIC) and Ethernet link aggregation. The hybrid
solution is scalable throughput to 700 Mbps (full duplex). It also supports
both T1/E1 and STM-1/OC-3 interfaces along with rotected PDH Ring with built in
T1/E1 cross point switch.

 

Cambium Networks signs supply agreement with Motorola Solutions

 

 Recently, the company completed a supply agreement
with its former parent company, Motorola Solutions.
