Bharti Infratel, which has a telecom tower base of 90,646 with closing sharing factor of 2.32, posted revenue of Rs 3,520 crore (+11 percent), EBITDA of Rs 1,585 crore (+8 percent) and EBIT of Rs 1,004 crore (+14 percent) and net profit of Rs 597 crore in Q4.
Delhi, India-based Bharti Infratel said it achieved fiscal 2017 revenue of Rs 13,424 crore (+9 percent), EBITDA of Rs 5,942 crore (+9 percent), EBIT of Rs 3,634 crore (+14 percent) and net profit of Rs 2,747 crore (+22 percent).
Bharti Infratel and Indus Towers aim to cash in on additional opportunity from Digital India program and Smart City projects to create infrastructure for sharing on a non-discriminatory basis.
Bharti Infratel Green plans
Bharti Infratel operates nearly 3,000 solar-powered sites across the network, which helps in reducing noise and emissions from DG sets and also in reducing dependency on diesel. Bharti Infratel has more than 38,500 green sites.
Bharti Infratel is working towards scaling up the solar installations across the network. It is also partnering with renewable energy service companies for powering telecom towers using renewable energy along with community power development, in rural areas.
