u‑blox is set to hire 100 resources at its LTE software design center in Lahore, Pakistan.
Swiss-based provider of wireless and GPS/GNSS semiconductor components on Thursday said the new R&D center focuses on protocol stack development for embedded 4G cellular communications.
The center complements u-blox’ 4G LTE baseband chip design activities located in Thalwil, Switzerland, Melbourn, UK and Leuven, Belgium.
With the opening of the new facility on 30 October, 2013, u-blox plans to double its LTE R&D capacity in the location. The company is looking at tapping IT resources from universities and IT companies in Lahore.
