Leading chip-maker Qualcomm announced the inauguration of its latest chip design centre in Chennai, signaling a significant investment in India’s technology infrastructure.
Aligned with the government’s Bharat 6G Vision, Qualcomm also unveiled a program supporting 6G University Research in India, further underlining its commitment to advancing technological innovation in the country.
Union Minister for Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, shared his vision for a digitally-empowered India.
The centre will contribute to Qualcomm’s Research and Development efforts in 5G Cellular technology, reinforcing its commitment to shaping the future of connectivity worldwide, particularly in India, said Rahul Patel, Group General Manager, Connectivity, Broadband & Networking (CBN), Qualcomm Technologies.
