The chipset company said Rajen Vagadia will be reporting directly to Jim Cathey, senior vice president and president of Asia Pacific and India.
Rajen Vagadia joined Qualcomm in 2011 and played a key role in driving the LTE growth for India and expanding opportunities for adjacent business in-country. He led the business development of the Internet of Things (IoT) across the different verticals covering smart cities, healthcare, automotive, wearables, home automation and industrial automation.
Prior to joining Qualcomm, Rajen Vagadia held local and regional, executive level positions at Motorola, Tata Teleservices, Elcoteq and Reliance Infocomm. in areas of, business development and outsourcing.
Larry Paulson, vice president and president, Qualcomm India, who has been managing Qualcomm India operations from 2016, will be moving back to San Diego in June 2018.
