MediaTek Unveils Dimensity 9500 Chipset and AI Vision in Collaboration with TSMC at IMC 2025

MediaTek, a semiconductor company powering over two billion devices annually, unveiled its strategic AI roadmap and next-generation innovations at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 in New Delhi.

MediaTek announced a collaboration with TSMC to develop a next-generation flagship SoC using the advanced N2P process, with volume production slated for late next year.

MediaTek introduced the Dimensity 9500 — its flagship 5G chipset — designed to redefine smartphone experiences with breakthrough on-device AI, console-grade gaming, and unmatched power efficiency. The Dimensity 9500 delivers advanced AI capabilities including real-time image-to-image style conversion and 4K-resolution text-to-image generation, while supporting Unreal Engine’s Mega Light and Nanite technologies for lifelike graphics and AAA-quality visuals on mobile devices.

The event witnessed participation from global OEM partners including Vivo, OPPO, Samsung, Tecno, and Lava.

OPPO India will be using the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset for the upcoming OPPO Find X9 Series.

Anku Jain, Managing Director, MediaTek India, said, “Our Dimensity 9500 embodies these expectations by delivering superior on-device AI and high performance while maintaining energy efficiency.”

MediaTek showcased a wide technology portfolio featuring MediaTek-powered devices from leading brands — including the HP G1m Chromebook powered by Kompanio 520, Vivo X200 FE featuring the Dimensity 9300+, and the Lumio Arc 5 Projector, among others.

MediaTek hosted the ‘Game On with MediaTek’ tournament, featuring smartphones powered by the Dimensity 8000 and 9000 series chipsets. Over 50 gaming enthusiasts participated, showcasing the performance power of MediaTek devices.

Anuj Sidharth, Director, Marketing and Communications, MediaTek India, said, “The tournament not only celebrated gaming but also reinforced MediaTek’s leadership in high-performance mobile computing and community engagement.”

MediaTek’s revenue continues to show steady growth across its major business segments — Mobile, Smart Edge, and Power IC. The company’s total trailing-12-month revenue is estimated between USD 17.3 billion and USD 18.7 billion, with 2024 full-year revenue around USD 16.48 billion. In June 2025, MediaTek recorded NT$56.43 billion in monthly sales, marking a 33-month high and a 31 percent year-over-year increase.

The Mobile segment, which includes smartphone and 5G SoC products, remains MediaTek’s main growth driver, contributing about 56 percent of total revenue. The surge in demand for its Dimensity 9000-series and 9300-series chipsets and the upcoming Dimensity 9500 have reinforced MediaTek’s leadership in 5G devices.

The Smart Edge Platform (SEP) segment, covering edge AI, IoT, connectivity, and automotive solutions, has emerged as the company’s fastest-growing division, expanding roughly 32 percent year-over-year and now accounting for about 39 percent of total revenue. The Power IC business, which contributes about 5–7 percent of total revenue, provides stability through consistent demand for power management solutions used in a wide range of consumer and industrial devices.
