Intel revenue drops 7% to $18.4 bn in first quarter

Intel revenue dropped 7 percent to $18.4 billion during the first quarter of 2022 as Intel sales from Client Computing Group decreased 13 percent.
“With a $1 trillion market opportunity ahead of us, we remain laser focused on our IDM 2.0 strategy. We executed well against that strategy in Q1, delivering key product and technology milestones and announcing plans to expand our manufacturing capacity in both the US and Europe to meet the demand for semiconductors,” Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel, said.

Intel generated first quarter revenue of $9.3 billion (–13 percent) from Client Computing Group (CCG), $6 billion (+22 percent) from Datacenter and AI Group (DCAI), $2.2 billion (+23 percent) from Network and Edge Group (NEX), $219 million (+21 percent) from Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group (AXG), $394 million (+5 percent) from Mobileye and $283 million (+175 percent) from Intel Foundry Services (IFS).
