Wireless chip supplier Qualcomm is gaining from the emerging Internet of Everything (IoE) market.

Qualcomm Atheros solutions have connected more than 120 million smart home devices in the past year – including consumer electronics, appliances and lighting systems. Qualcomm Atheros is making Wi-Fi feasible for a multitude of new devices in the home and office.
Based Qualcomm Technologies’ solutions, customers already offer more than 20 wearable devices ranging from smart watches and fitness trackers to wearable cameras and digital eyewear shipping in more than 30 countries. Qualcomm Technologies has more than 20 new commercial designs currently in development.
Qualcomm Technologies has now engaged with more than 40 connected car programs from more than 15 OEMs. Qualcomm Technologies says there are more than 20 million connected vehicles deployed globally with QTI’s Qualcomm Snapdragon LTE and 3G modems.
Qualcomm Technologies’ automotive solutions include the Snapdragon 602A infotainment processor, Qualcomm Atheros’ Qualcomm VIVE QCA65x4 to support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC), QTI’s Qualcomm WiPower wireless charging for consumer electronics in the car and Qualcomm Halo wireless charging for electric vehicles.
The company is involved in more than 20 engagements to provide smart, sustainable connectivity that helps cities modernize while reducing operational costs in areas including municipal Wi-Fi, water usage, recycling, lighting, transportation, energy and infrastructure.
Cities are implementing smart connectivity today, leveraging Qualcomm solutions, including 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, and small cells, as well making use of the AllJoyn open source project from the AllSeen Alliance in various industrial applications.
Qualcomm Life is building a large mobile health ecosystem, with approximately 500 customers and collaborators including Cerner, AMC Health, Roche and Walgreens.
