ZTE has launched its smartphone, ZTE Skate, and ZTE Racer
II in France.

ZTE has increased the number of smartphone models sold in
France from three in 2010 to ten in 2011 including six operator-branded and
four own-branded devices.

With these new devices ZTE is aiming to surpass the
success of the ZTE Link and the ZTE Blade launched in France in 2010.

The ZTE Skate comes with a 4.3 inch multipoint touch
screen with an intuitive user interface that enables swift access to
applications and smooth internet navigation. It comes with a Qualcomm MSM 7227T
800 Mhz processor and runs on Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread). It is a slimline
11.35mm and weighs just 148g, it boasts a powerful 5 megapixel autofocus
camera, Wi-Fi, GPS and an accelerometer.

The ZTE Racer II is one of the most affordable Android
smartphones available. With a 2.8 inch multipoint touch screen, it boasts a
Broadcom BCM 2157 500 Mhz processor. It also comes with a 2 megapixel Autofocus
camera, GPS, an accelerometer, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

“2011 has been an important year for ZTE in France
as we moved to target our devices at mid-high end markets and were recognized
as the world’s fourth largest handset vendor,” said Emmanuel Rousseau, ZTE
Director of Mobile Handsets in France.

“The outlook for 2012 is fantastic, with Android
Honeycomb tablets and an array of Windows Phones in the pipeline. ZTE has
expanded its product range to offer operators worldwide a broad range of
devices to meet the growing demands of their consumers,” Rousseau added.

ZTE is recognized as the fourth largest supplier of
mobile handsets worldwide. ZTE’s handset shipment reached 19.1 million, up by
57.9 percent on the same period last year, while total market share increased
to 4.9 percent.
