Xiaomi Q2 2025 Revenue Hits Record RMB116 bn Driven by Smartphones and AIoT Growth

Xiaomi has reported strong achievements in the second quarter of 2025, with total revenue reaching a record RMB116.0 billion, up 30.5 percent year-over-year, driven by robust growth across smartphones, AIoT, and new initiatives including smart EVs.

Smartphone × AIoT revenue grew 14.8 percent to RMB94.7 billion, while revenue from EV, AI, and other new businesses surged to RMB21.3 billion.

Global smartphone shipments rose to 42.4 million units, marking eight consecutive quarters of year-over-year growth, and securing Xiaomi a top three global ranking for the 20th consecutive quarter with a 14.7 percent share.

The company also achieved leadership in Southeast Asia with 18.9 percent share, climbed to second in Europe at 23.4 percent, and maintained strong positions across the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa.

Its AIoT ecosystem expanded significantly, with 989.1 million connected devices and global monthly active users reaching 731.2 million. Smart EV deliveries hit a record 81,302 units in the quarter.

Xiaomi’s strategy continues to center on advancing its 2020–2030 vision by investing heavily in core technologies, with R&D expenses rising 41.2 percent to RMB7.8 billion and R&D staff growing to 22,641.

The company strengthened its dual-brand approach: under the Xiaomi brand, it launched the foldable MIX Flip 2 with proprietary hinge technology and Leica imaging, while under the Redmi brand, the K80 Ultra was introduced with advanced performance, gaming display, and long-lasting Surge battery.

Its IoT and lifestyle products business surged 44.7 percent to RMB38.7 billion, supported by higher user adoption, with 20.5 million users now connecting five or more devices.

Xiaomi also reinforced its retail presence, adding over 1,700 new offline stores in mainland China, pushing its total to over 17,000, while expanding its footprint to 200 stores overseas.

The company’s strategy of blending innovation, ecosystem expansion, premium and mass-market offerings, and retail diversification is enabling it to consolidate its leadership in smartphones, grow its AIoT user base, and build scale in EVs, positioning it as a multi-vertical global tech leader.
