Motorola has launched the Motorola Edge 70 Max in India, bringing flagship-level performance, AI-powered productivity, premium design, and long-lasting battery life to consumers.

Motorola edge 70 max 5G smartphone

Starting at an effective launch price of INR 49,999, the smartphone combines Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, a 7100mAh silicon-carbon battery, 7000-nit Quad HD+ LTPO AMOLED display, 90W fast charging, Qi2.2 magnetic wireless charging, and India’s first Motorola Qira AI platform.

The 5G smartphone will be available from July 20, 2026 through Flipkart, Motorola.in, and leading retail stores across India.

One of the biggest attractions for buyers is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, delivering flagship performance for gaming, AI applications, and multitasking. Motorola says the chipset achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 3 million, offering up to 36 percent faster CPU performance, 11 percent faster graphics, and a 46 percent more powerful Qualcomm AI Engine than the previous generation. Combined with up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.1 storage, users can expect faster app launches, smoother multitasking, and responsive gaming. A 5,500 mm² vapor chamber cooling system with liquid metal thermal gel helps maintain peak performance during intensive workloads.

For entertainment enthusiasts, the 5G smartphone features a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ (1440 × 3168) LTPO AMOLED display, the only 2K AMOLED display in its segment. The screen delivers 77 percent more pixels than Full HD displays, a 510 ppi pixel density, 144 Hz refresh rate, 360 Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 10-bit color depth, and 7000 nits peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even in bright sunlight. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, Dolby Atmos-powered stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, Snapdragon Sound, and Always-On Display further enhance the multimedia experience.

Battery life is another major consumer benefit. Motorola has equipped the Edge 70 Max with its largest-ever 7100mAh silicon-carbon battery, providing up to 58 hours of battery life, 42 hours of video playback, 25 hours of gaming, 10 hours of video recording, 27 hours of social media usage, and 88 hours of music streaming. The 5G device supports 90W TurboPower wired charging, allowing users to recharge quickly, while also becoming the only smartphone in its segment to offer 25W Qi2.2 magnetic wireless charging. It also supports 5W reverse wired charging for powering compatible accessories.

Photography is powered by a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), 2.0 μm Quad Pixel technology, and all-pixel autofocus for sharper images across lighting conditions. The rear setup also includes an 8 MP ultra-wide camera with a 119-degree field of view, macro photography support, and autofocus. A 32 MP front camera supports 4K HDR10+ video recording at 30 fps and 60 fps, while Full HD recording supports up to 240 fps slow-motion. AI features such as Photo Enhancement Engine, Night Vision, Portrait Mode, Auto Smile Capture, Frame Match, Gesture Capture, Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Photo to Video provide users with powerful editing and photography capabilities.

Motorola is also introducing Motorola Qira, its new cross-device AI platform that connects Motorola smartphones, Lenovo PCs, and tablets. The AI platform enables seamless productivity through features such as Chat Mode, Next Move, Creator Zone, Pay Attention, and Catch Me Up, helping users generate content, summarize meetings, remember context, and continue tasks across devices. Motorola Qira will be available initially on the 12 GB variant, with support for the 8 GB model arriving through a future software update.

The smartphone features a premium matte glass finish with an aircraft-grade aluminum frame, offering durability alongside a flagship design. It carries MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on both the front and rear panels. It is available in PANTONE Aqua Gray, PANTONE Dark Shadow, and PANTONE Ice Melt.

Running Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UX, the Edge 70 Max offers a clean software experience along with Smart Connect, Google Gemini, Moto Secure, ThinkShield security, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, eSIM support, NFC, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
