Telecom Lead Asia: Karbonn has unveiled Karbonn Titanium S5 smartphone — on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS platform and with 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor — at Rs 11,990.
Titanium S5 features a 5” IPS qHD display, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP camera, etc.
Karbonn says Titanium S5 works on 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor that enables mobile users to navigate across applications and browse Internet at fast speeds.
A combination of 1GB RAM and a 4GB ROM supported by a 2000mAh battery will also attract mobile users to buy the dual SIM Android smartphone. It has an expandable memory up to 32GB to store photos, movies, songs and applications at a single place.
Shashin Devsare, executive director, Karbonn Mobiles, says it aims to to reach approximately 5 million smart phones devices sales with the Titanium S5 by the next financial year.
Karbonn has not added significant innovative features.
For instance, Titanium S5 comes with 8 Mega Pixel Auto Focus Camera with a flashlight that automatically adjusts the focus while clicking image and exposure to ensure pictures of human subjects.
In line with any other traditional smartphones in the Rs 10,000 plus range, Titanium S5 offers 2MP front camera for video calling through third party software, bringing social contact closer.
Titanium S5’s Proximity Sensor detects the call and can turn off the screen to avoid accidental touch of the screen by ear.
In addition, Titanium S5 offers an acceleration sensor which senses the tilting direction of phone and auto rotates the screen according to the direction to which you have tilted the phone.
The Titanium S5 comes with an Automatic Light Sensor which automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen back-light both to improve battery life and make it easier to see the screen.
