HTC offers Indian language support for One and Desire smartphones

Telecom Lead India: Taiwanese smartphone major HTC
has added full language support for Hindi, Tamil and Marathi on its One and
Desire of smartphones.

 

Now, HTC One X, HTC One S, HTC One V, Desire C
and Desire V will be equipped with these languages.

 

Support for native languages will enable users to read
and write in Hindi, Tamil and Marathi through all messaging functions on HTC
smartphones.

 

HTC is committed to helping Indian consumers communicate
easily through a more intuitive mobile experience, which can only be offered
with full Indian language capability on their smartphones. HTC continues to be
the smartphone brand of choice for the India market due to our focus on what
the consumer needs, and delivering that in an encompassing, holistic manner,”
said Faisal Siddiqui, country manager, HTC India.

 

The reading and writing capability for Hindi, Tamil and
Marathi on HTC Desire C and Desire V, is available through an automatic
software update.

 

On the other hand Bengali language viewing capability for
Desire range will be available from August 2012.

 

HTC One range of smartphones will get all these languages
capabilities from August 2012.

 

HTC in pact with Airtel to launch new HTC One Series of
Smartphones in India

In April this year, HTC introduced HTC One series of
smartphones for the Indian market. The company tied up with mobile major Bharti
Airtel to introduce limited period offers on every purchase of HTC One X and
HTC One V.
