China Telecom, TIM, EE, Sprint, Verizon to support Always Connected PCs

Lenovo Miix 630 PCGlobal mobile operators such as China Telecom, Telecom Italia, EE, Sprint and Verizon will be supporting Always Connected PCs, bringing affordable connectivity plans on their advanced LTE wireless networks.

Select mobile operators in some countries will also stock Always Connected PCs in their retail stores.

Device makers such as Asus, HP and Lenovo will utilize mobile operators’ LTE networks, when they introduce their Windows 10 devices — powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile PC platform — in the first half of 2018.

Don McGuire, vice president, global product marketing, Qualcomm Technologies, said: “With the commitment of leading mobile operators, the Always Connected PC will offer consumers one of the most comprehensive mobile computing experiences, with always on connectivity of up-to Gigabit LTE speeds.”

Matt Barlow, corporate vice president, Windows and devices, Microsoft, said the collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies has resulted in a new category for the PC – the Always Connected PC. It combines the connectivity and the simplicity of the smartphone with the power of the Windows 10 PC.

ASUS NovaGo, HP ENVY x2, Lenovo Miix 630 will be the latest Always Connected PC devices in the market.
