Telecom Lead America: AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile USA plan to support BlackBerry 10 handsets on their networks.
This is a major development for Research In Motion (RIM) which is gearing up to launch BlackBerry 10 handsets on January 30 in New York. Interestingly, RIM is not showcasing its new phones at the ongoing CES 2013, where mobile handset makers such as Samsung, ZTE, HTC, Sony, Lenovo Huawei are launching their new smartphones.

According to media reports, RIM will launch around 6 new smartphones in 2013.
“We’re extremely optimistic that it’s going to be a successful product and our business customers are extremely interested in it,” T-Mobile USA chief executive John Legere told Reuters.
Recently, Verizon’s chief executive officer Lowell McAdam also confirmed the carrier will support BlackBerry 10 devices. And AT&T’s handset executive Jeff Bradley told Reuters that, “It’s logical to expect our current BlackBerry customers will have the best BlackBerry devices to choose from in the future.”
BlackBerry 10 is Research In Motion’s all-new operating system for its smartphones. RIM, which has steadily been losing customers to rivals Google Android and Apple iPhone, has staked its future on the success of the new software.
The struggling RIM plans to maintain its stronghold on messaging and typing ease. But the new software will also bring with it a new interface and better multimedia capabilities.
