Amber Enterprises India has announced a manufacturing collaboration with OPPO Mobiles India, marking a significant expansion of its presence in the fast-growing smartphone manufacturing sector. Under the agreement, Amber Group will manufacture mobile phones for OPPO India’s portfolio of brands, including OPPO, OnePlus, and Realme, strengthening domestic electronics production and supporting India’s localization goals.
The partnership combines the global product expertise of OPPO, OnePlus, and Realme with Amber Group’s large-scale manufacturing capabilities, operational excellence, and growing local supply chain ecosystem. The collaboration is expected to increase local value addition while enhancing manufacturing efficiency and supply chain resilience in India.
Amber Group said the agreement reflects its ability to deliver quality, reliability, scalability, and consistent manufacturing performance for globally recognized smartphone brands. The company views the collaboration as a key milestone in expanding its role within India’s electronics manufacturing landscape and creating a stronger long-term growth platform.
Jasbir Singh, Executive Chairman and CEO of Amber Enterprises India, said the partnership highlights Amber’s manufacturing strength and its capability to support leading global brands through quality production, value addition, and scale.
The two companies will work together on a phased production ramp-up while exploring additional opportunities for future collaboration. The partnership is also expected to generate operational synergies and further position Amber as a preferred business-to-business manufacturing partner in India’s electronics sector.
The announcement comes as OPPO continues to strengthen its position in the Indian smartphone market. According to an Omdia report, OPPO, excluding Realme and OnePlus, shipped 4.7 million smartphones in India during the first quarter of 2026, securing the third position with a 15 percent market share.
OPPO also recorded the strongest growth among the top five smartphone vendors in India during the first-quarter, highlighting the importance of expanding local manufacturing capacity to support rising demand.
With India emerging as a major global smartphone production hub, the Amber-OPPO collaboration is expected to contribute to domestic manufacturing growth, supply chain localization, and the broader Make in India initiative while supporting the expansion plans of OPPO, OnePlus, and Realme in one of the world’s largest smartphone markets.
