Common scams include threats of SIM deactivation and fake mobile tower rental offers. The public is advised not to respond to unsolicited calls or messages claiming to be from TRAI. People are encouraged to report suspicious communications via the Sanchar Saathi platform or the national cybercrime portal, IANS reports.
