SOLiD Launches Energy-Efficient nGENESIS DAS to Transform In-Building Connectivity

SOLiD has introduced its fourth-generation nGENESIS digital distributed antenna system (DAS) in the U.S., designed to deliver scalable, neutral-host connectivity for 4G and 5G networks. The platform supports multi-operator environments and offers high-capacity performance with up to 25 Gbps fiber transmission. Built for efficiency, it reduces headend and radio node power consumption by over 50 percent while maintaining a compact footprint. The system simplifies deployment and supports diverse sectors such as stadiums, transportation, healthcare, and hospitality. With modular components and compatibility with Open RAN and RF networks, nGENESIS enhances flexibility, sustainability, and future-ready in-building wireless infrastructure.

Xfinity Expands High-Speed Internet to Rural Florida Communities

Comcast is expanding its Xfinity network in Nassau County, bringing high-speed, multi-gigabit internet to underserved rural areas. Over 400 homes and businesses already have access, with construction underway to connect an additional 1,900 locations by fall 2026. The project, supported by Florida’s Broadband Opportunity Program and Capital Projects Fund, aims to bridge the digital divide and enhance access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Alongside internet services, Xfinity will offer mobile, TV, and smart home solutions. The expansion builds on Comcast’s broader investment strategy, which recently connected more than 120,000 locations across Florida.

Clearfield Expands Fiber Portfolio with Versatile Pedestal Solutions

Clearfield has broadened its CraftSmart FiberFirst portfolio by introducing new 8-inch and 10-inch fiber pedestals aimed at improving Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployments. Designed for flexibility, the pedestals support both Clearfield and third-party components, helping service providers avoid vendor lock-in. Their user-friendly design includes 360-degree access, integrated mounting systems, and removable drop channels, enabling faster installation and reduced labor costs. The compact 8-inch pedestal suits smaller deployments, while the 10-inch version accommodates higher fiber density needs. Built for durability and compliance with federal sourcing requirements, these solutions address growing broadband infrastructure demands and are now available for commercial deployment.
