Palestinians in West Bank Get 4G: Connectivity Upgrade Drives Digital Growth Israel’s communications ministry has approved a long-delayed upgrade allowing Palestinian mobile operators Jawwal and Ooredoo to roll out 4G services across the West Bank, under agreements with Swedish supplier Ericsson. This move, part of a 2022 framework deal with the Palestinian Authority, aims to narrow the digital divide by replacing existing 3G connectivity and eventually paving the way for 5G access, though rollout could take up to six months. The decision reflects investment and technology cooperation with international partners, enhanced customer focus on faster, more reliable mobile data, and economic benefits through improved digital services.
