InCoax and Nokia Activate Multi-Gigabit Broadband Network for Sjoberg’s
InCoax Networks has activated the first phase of a multi-building broadband deployment for Minnesota cable operator Sjoberg’s using Nokia Gigabit Connect with MoCA Access. The rollout is planned to cover approximately 30–40 buildings and represents the first live operator installations resulting from InCoax’s collaboration with Nokia. The solution extends fiber-based multi-gigabit broadband over existing coaxial wiring inside apartment buildings, reducing the cost and complexity associated with installing new fiber throughout properties. Nokia’s Altiplano Access Controller provides integrated provisioning and lifecycle management across fiber/PON and MoCA infrastructure. The technology can also support fixed wireless access extension, enabling operators to distribute FWA connectivity over existing coax inside multi-dwelling units.
Telit Cinterion Brings 4G and 5G IoT Module Manufacturing to the US
Telit Cinterion is establishing U.S. manufacturing for cellular connectivity equipment, with production scheduled to begin in October 2026 at a new facility in Bristol, Pennsylvania. The 8,000-square-foot operation will manufacture 4G and 5G IoT modules, routers, gateways and other OEM products for U.S. and international customers. Manufacturing, testing and quality assurance will be performed at the Pennsylvania facility, while engineering and supply-chain support will come from existing U.S. operations. The initial phase is expected to create at least 50 jobs. Telit says the investment will strengthen domestic supply chains for connected devices used in critical infrastructure, defense and mission-critical applications. The move also reflects growing demand for secure, traceable telecom and IoT equipment supply chains.
TDS Retains 82% of Array as Wireless Infrastructure Strategy Continues
Telephone and Data Systems has withdrawn its proposal to acquire the remaining public shares of Array Digital Infrastructure but will retain its approximately 82 percent ownership in the wireless infrastructure company. Array owns and operates more than 4,400 cell towers across the United States, supporting deployments of 5G and other wireless technologies. TDS and Array also plan to increase efforts to monetize Array’s remaining wireless spectrum assets. Separately, TDS Telecom continues expanding its marketable fiber-service footprint. The development is relevant to the U.S. telecom infrastructure market because Array remains a substantial independent tower portfolio supporting operator network expansion. Tower infrastructure continues to play an important role as mobile operators add 5G coverage, capacity and network density while increasingly relying on shared passive infrastructure.
