Enghouse Powers Up Latin America with 5G-Ready Sixbell Telco Acquisition
Enghouse Systems has acquired Sixbell’s telecommunications division, strengthening its presence in Latin America and expanding its OSS/BSS and network-transformation offerings. For regional operators, this unlocks faster network modernization and improved service scalability.
Space-Powered 5G: Vodafone & AST Launch EU Satellite Network with German Control Hub
Vodafone and AST SpaceMobile announced a new EU satellite constellation, selecting Germany as the European sovereign Satellite Operations Centre. The project focuses on next-generation space-based mobile broadband, delivering direct-to-device connectivity that reaches remote and underserved areas. A European-controlled “command switch” will manage encryption keys, telemetry, tracking and beam activation for secure, sovereign operations. Commercial service is planned for 2026, with the centre coordinating network access for operators and public-safety agencies.
Singtel Cashes In ₹10,000+ Crore from Airtel Stake to Fuel Digital Push
Singapore-based Singtel sold around 51 million Bharti Airtel shares — roughly 0.8 percent of the company — at ₹2,030 per share via block deals, raising approximately ₹10,300 crore (S$1.5 billion / US$1.16 billion). The sale, executed at a slight discount to the previous close, caused a short-term dip in Airtel’s share price but is part of Singtel’s S$9 billion asset-recycling programme aimed at freeing capital for digital infrastructure and services, Reuters news report said.
