Calnex Takes Center Stage at MWC 2026 with Groundbreaking Open RAN & AI-RAN Live Demos
Calnex Solutions will power three live demonstrations at MWC Barcelona 2026, highlighting interoperability and conformance testing for Open RAN and AI-RAN ecosystems. As multi-vendor networks grow more complex, seamless integration between radio units, distributed units, and core components has become critical for operators and vendors. The demos include an O-RU and O-DU test solution with synchronization validation, an end-to-end Open RAN test incorporating cybersecurity checks, and scalable core network emulation for lab environments. The showcases address real-world deployment challenges and reinforce confidence in multi-vendor Open RAN and AI-driven network performance.
Global Microwave Equipment Market Hits Pause in 2025 Amid Regional Slowdown
According to Dell’Oro Group, global point-to-point microwave transmission equipment revenue remained essentially flat in 2025, declining about 1 percent after modest growth earlier in the year. Demand weakened significantly in India and Latin America, offsetting gains from ongoing wireless backhaul investments. The report notes rising market concentration, with the top six vendors accounting for 87 percent of total revenue. ZTE and Aviat Networks strengthened their positions, while Ceragon Networks saw a decline in revenue share. Growth in 4G and 5G mobile backhaul deployments partially balanced weaker performance in private network and enterprise segments.
Aeris and Verizon Team Up to Revolutionize Global IoT Deployment
Aeris and Verizon Business have launched a strategic collaboration to streamline how multinational companies deploy and manage Internet of Things (IoT) solutions globally. The partnership integrates Aeris’s IoTA Connectivity Management Platform with Verizon Business’s ThingSpace platform, enabling enterprises to oversee U.S. and international IoT deployments from a single interface, reducing fragmentation and operational complexity. The new service, Aeris IoTA Inbound Services, helps firms localize devices in the U.S. in weeks instead of months. It uses the latest SGP.32 eSIM standard for remote provisioning and centralized SIM management, with support for high‑performance 5G applications across sectors like smart cities and industrial automation, allowing faster market rollout and unified global IoT management.
