A study by the Bulk Broadband Alliance and telecommunications consulting firm Cartesian found that bulk broadband billing arrangements save residents in apartments, condominiums, and homeowners associations more than 50 percent compared to standard retail internet plans. The report, submitted to the FCC’s 2026 Communications Marketplace proceeding, reviewed over 1,000 active contracts and showed that multi-dwelling properties attract an average of 5.7 competing broadband providers, compared to 2.2 in traditional retail markets. Researchers estimate consumers would spend an additional $5.6 billion annually without bulk agreements. The study also emphasized benefits for low-income households, students, and seniors, stating that bulk billing improves affordability, supports fiber deployment, and expands broadband access for nearly 9.9 million U.S. households.

Subex has secured a USD 1.93 million, five-year contract from a leading North African telecom operator to deploy its AI-driven HyperSense platform for Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management (RAFM). The engagement involves upgrading the operator’s legacy ROC system to HyperSense, enabling enhanced fraud detection, operational agility, automation, and revenue protection through AI-powered analytics and process intelligence. The deal strengthens Subex’s growing footprint in African telecom markets and reinforces its strategy of helping operators modernize digital trust and assurance operations.
