Midwest Network Expansion Accelerates with 800G Fiber Power Play

1623 Farnam has partnered with Bridged Broadband to expand high-capacity, carrier-diverse connectivity across the Midwest. Through the collaboration, Bridged Broadband will establish a presence at 1623 Farnam’s Omaha interconnection hub, gaining access to a dense ecosystem of national and regional carriers. The partnership enables new, resilient fiber routes linking Omaha and Kansas City, while extending connectivity into underserved rural communities in Missouri. Powered by an advanced 800G backbone, the initiative delivers scalable, low-latency infrastructure designed to support growing enterprise, service provider, and public-sector bandwidth demands across the region.

Powering 110 GHz: KYOCERA AVX Expands Ultra-Broadband Capacitors for Next-Gen Optical Networks

KYOCERA AVX has expanded its 550/560 Series ultra-broadband capacitors to address growing demand in high-speed optical communications. The new multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) operate across an ultra-wide frequency range from 7 kHz to 110 GHz, with voltage ratings up to 100 V and capacitance values between 1 nF and 220 nF. Engineered for ultra-low insertion loss and stable high-frequency performance, the capacitors are designed for use in transimpedance amplifiers, optical subassemblies (ROSA/TOSA), fiber-optic networks, 5G infrastructure, satellite communications, radar systems, and advanced sensing applications, supporting next-generation high-bandwidth data transmission requirements.

Airgain Secures Multi-Million Dollar 5G Home Platform Deal with Tier-1 Operator

Airgain, Inc. has secured a multi-year, multi-million-dollar embedded antenna design win with a Tier-1 North American mobile network operator to power its next-generation 5G home connectivity platform. The agreement covers antenna systems for a 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) router and an in-home Wi-Fi extender, supporting enhanced broadband performance and coverage. Pre-production shipments are expected this quarter, with full-scale production scheduled later this year. The deal strengthens Airgain’s position in advanced home connectivity solutions and highlights growing operator investment in 5G-powered residential broadband services.
