Reliance Globalcom, a part of Reliance Communications, has hired Pacnet CTO Wilfred Kwan as chief operating officer of its three offshore businesses including FLAG, Yipes and Vanco.
Prior to working with Pacnet for more than 10 years, Kwan served as director of Operations for WorldCom Asia Pacific, responsible for operational efficiencies such as MTTR, on-time delivery and operations cost.
Besides Pacnet and WorldCom, he has also held various management positions with Global One, Lucent Technologies, Motorola and Nortel.
The company said Wilfred Kwan has more than 25 years of senior management experience in telecoms operation, software development, integrated circuit design, product development and network planning. He led key strategic projects ranging from implementing network expansion to launching new products and managing post merger integrations of various entities.
Recently, Reliance Globalcom announced the appointment of Bill Barney as its CEO. Bill Barney is also a Pacnet veteran.
